[Somarium, have a panicked broadcast from one of those still severely ill and only getting worse, since he wasn't doing a great job of taking care of himself, so concerned with his roommate. He's clearly flushed, there are dark circles under his eyes and he's sweating and out of breath when the video feed flicks on. One of his lenses also appears to be cracked, but he's paying it no mind. He looks like he's in a darkened room as well, hunched close to the Dreamberry, speaking in hurried hush tones.]

S-Someone has to come help me... There is a man here, I don't know when he arrived, but he tries to kill me in my world and I can't get away from him. He's in my apartment and he's going to kill me!

T-They both want me dead, I know it. Y-Yamamoto-kun? Cavallone-san? Even Hibari-san or Gokudera-kun, one... one of you could stop him right?.. They are here.

You wouldn't let me die here like this, right?

[He suddenly jerks away from the feed, staring at something in terror and the line goes dead with no other warning.]

(( OOC: Shouichi is convinced Byakuran is various members of the Real Six Funeral Wreathes, particularly Kikyo right now. And he can't find Byakuran anywhere, believing him to have told them to kill him himself because of it. ))

[Frowning deeply, he shuffled closer, reaching out to touch his face.] Shou-chan.. what are you talking about? You look really bad. Are you okay?

W-What do you want with me?! What did you do with him? You know.... he and I... he wouldn't let you do that anymore. So just go away!

[He wasn't making a lot of coherent sense, but he backs away from that outstretched hand, seeing it as a grab at his throat.]

Shhhhh. Shou-chan..

[That hand came out again, going for his forehead to feel for a fever.] You're probably burning up... you've been taking such good care of me that you're worse, huh? Let's go back to bed.

[Shouichi flinched, backed up as far as he could get without falling onto the bed in his work room where he'd hid himself to make the call.]

B-Byakuran-san would never have you hurt me now... I... I know it. [He's trying to sound defiant, but in his delirious state, he wasn't so sure, which was why he was so terrified.]

It's me. You're just very, very sick...

[Or at least he hoped that's what it was. Otherwise Shouichi was just randomly going insane. He'd prefer if it were only temporary.] You need to lay down. Do we have more soup? I'll make some for you.

[It was like he wasn't able to make sense out of what was being said to him, so he was just lashing out defensively. But the tone was getting through, so it calmed him enough to reply.]

D-Don't do anything you'll regret, he'll just kill you. And he'd do it without a second thought.

... [But since he couldn't get away from the larger man, Shouichi for now would cooperate. He'd look for his chance to escape or hope for the Vongola to come rescue him. Or... maybe Byakuran really would come and call off six. Though... he could only ever picture the one (because he'd only ever seen one... But in his state, that wasn't odd at all.]

I swear, he'd kill you. Byakuran-san is mine.

[Eyes widening at that claim, he just managed to slowly nod, lifting his hands in a light gesture of surrender.]

... all right. All right, he's yours. [Going to play along now, since he obviously wasn't going to be able to convince him that he really was who he said he was.] I'm sure he would kill me for harming you, just like you say.

[His heart refused to slow down and he was insufferably hot, but he was also so so tired, so he looked to the other man in some semblance of resignation.]

W-What do you want with me then? [Suspicious look as he wobbled on his feet and planted himself on the bed anyway.]

I don't want anything. I was looking for Byakuran... sama.

[Added that last bit on carefully. He wasn't sure who Shouichi thought he was, but figured it would be better to err on the side of caution and play the part of a subordinate.] But I found you. It's too cold to venture outside again, so I'll be staying here.

[He winced, sitting down beside him carefully on the bed.]

[He didn't believe him that he wasn't after him, but again for now... he had to wait for the chance to get away.]

It's... so hot in here. Cold sounds good. [Murmured to himself before scooting away a little.]

H-He's not here. I can't... I can't find him.

[His voice hitched at that, clearly upset.]

You look ill. You should lie down. What use will you be to him if an illness takes you out? You don't want to worry him, do you?

[He got up then, taking off the blanket he had around his shoulders, plopping it down over Shouichi.] You will rest. If something happens to you, he'll blame me for it.

[The redhead flinched again as the blanket settled around him, but he didn't shrug it off at least.]

I... I was sick, but he's still sick too. I have to find him. You should be out there looking for him, not in here threatening me! [He stood, managing to stay upright long enough to draw himself up to his full height - not saying much - and glared.]

I- I have allies here! And Byakuran-san. So don't... try any-- [And the world spun with a sudden wash of vertigo and he crouched down close to the floor, clutching his head to try and steady himself.]

Yes, yes, they will come kill me to save you, et cetera...

[Concerned, he crouched with him and went to pull him up and get him to lie on the bed, covering him.] If you don't rest up and get better, I will kill you and risk his wrath. So don't make me angry. Understood?

[Shouichi swallowed hard in fear and nodded silently, cowering under the blanket on the bed, curling up into a fetal position.

But after a moment, he knocked back the blanket with a groan. It was too hot, too too hot. He mumbled incoherently for Byakuran, still totally unaware that he was right there.]

... he'll be back for you. Just sleep.

[Softly, tugging his blanket back up, tucking him in.] But only if you keep the blanket on and get some rest. I'll be keeping an eye on you.

[He shook as he coughed hard for several minutes and then sat straight back up.] B-But he's sick! I have to take care of him...

[And he promptly shoved him back down onto the bed, tucking him in again.] Stop it. Now. He'll be fi-

[Though of course as he was saying that he was taken by a sudden coughing fit.]

[And it was as if the sound of Byakuran's coughing flipped a switch, green eyes widening as he sat himself back up while Byakuran coughed.]

...Byakuran-san? I've been worried sick! [He pushed up his broken glasses and reached over to wrap an arm around the other's shoulders.]

Where.... where have you been?

Huh...?

[Tiredly, giving him a weird look as he was suddenly recognized and hugged.] Shou-chan. I've been here the whole time...

[Nuzzling into his neck, he sat with him, cuddling against him, giving him a squeeze. At least for now he seemed to be okay.] You're very, very sick.

But you're sick too... He was here! [Clinging to the white haired man now, burying his face into his neck.] Kikyo was here.... [Shuddered against him.]

Ohhhh, Kikyo-chan~ [Mumbled, mostly to himself. That made sense now. Smiling gently, he brushed his bangs from his face and kissed his forehead.]

It's okay. He won't harm you, I promise. If he shows up again, just listen. You don't have to be scared. You're under my protection.

[That forehead would feel like it was on fire under Byakuran's lips and all Shouichi could do was nod his head and cling to the other man as his fever continued to make him dizzy.]

.... I couldn't find you. And I think the others are here too. I could hear voices in the apartment... [And his eyes are already drooping, body sagging into the other.]

Mm. I'm going to tell everyone that you're off-limits. No one will touch you, I promise, so there's no need to be scared.

[Kissing his forehead again, he gave him a squeeze and rubbed his back as he laid down with him, covering them both with the blanket. Lightly, he mumbled against his ear;] Nothing will happen to my Shouichi.

... b-because you love me... right? You don't want me dead now...

[It was so hot, but he was so tired and sore and Byakuran was close, for once he didn't cast off the blankets and just stayed in place, drifting off into a half-awake, half-asleep state.]

That's right..

[Softly, still into his ear, trying to calm him.] Because I love you and I want you with me. Forever.
